The Vision

The inspiration for CORKANA came from a personal experience when I had to dispose of my former favorite bag after only a short period of use due to quality problems. This experience made me realize that there was a gap in the market that needed to be filled: the creation of a handbag that was not only fashionable but also of exceptional quality. The bag had to last for years and be made without plastic or animal products. Of course, I didn’t want to spend an enormous amount of money on it either.

Since I already trusted the positive properties of cork fabric, I began a thorough search. I discovered that cork bags are a sustainable choice but are often available in natural colors that don’t match my personal style. From this need, the vision for CORKANA was born – stylish cork handbags that emphasize the diversity and beauty of this sustainable material.

After two years of hard work and dedication, CORKANA was born. Each of our bags embodies timeless elegance and combines it with the innovative sustainability of cork.
